WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT THIS PLACE?

Everyone mentions the sense of peace and tranquillity.

We offer a warm welcome and hospitality.

We are a multi-generational household with Jane and Roger, Chanty and Farhan, our daughter and son in law. You will also be made very welcome by our two dogs.

You will be a short walk from the house where we are on hand to offer any help or information you might need.

Jane and Roger and Chanty come from a Christian background, Farhan is Muslim, we welcome anyone who needs time apart, wants to deepen their faith or care for themselves spiritually.

We have 2 acres of land boundaried by stock fencing providing an uninterrupted view of the fields beyond, giving a sense of spaciousness and view of the wide-open skies Lincolnshire is famous for.

The land is organised perfectly for the accommodation, so the Shepherds Hut and garden room are secluded beyond a swathe of trees, providing privacy from the house and seclusion from the road.

The shepherds hut is called Skylark. Skylarks nest in the fields in spring and fill the air with their singing. You might be lucky enough to glimpse deer, hares and rabbits, buzzards and geese and Chanty’s chickens are always entertaining to watch.

Skylark has underfloor heating and a log burner, a king-sized bed ready and made up for you and it is fully equipped with everything you need for self-catering. The shower room has towels and a flushing toilet. The table and chairs hide away when not in use and there are bath robes which come in handy if you treat yourself to a relaxing soak in the wood fired hot tub which we can heat before your arrival on request.

We provide a welcome basket of locally sourced goods to get you off to a good start.

There are many places locally to eat or order a takeaway which can be delivered.

What are the benefits of time spent at Kairos Days Retreat?

A stay here provides a much-needed opportunity to step off the hamster wheel of life.

Our lives are so full of busyness, communication demands instant attention and if we do have a few moments we can easily find ourselves, gadget in hand, playing a game or scrolling through the internet. We fear being bored yet the ability to relax, be still and calm while doing nothing is a crucial life skill.

Here you will find space to breathe, to be still, to drink in the silence, tune into the sounds around you and discover the power of being in the present moment.

This time apart is a precious gift to yourself and in your contemplation and reflection you open the way to deepen your relationship with God.
